Dynamic Fusion of Tarot and Crystal Energies
Dynamic Fusion of Tarot and Crystal Energies
“Crystals are Earth’s natural artistry, embodying the beauty of structure, the brilliance of light, and the whispers of ancient energies”
One day I saw a friend wearing a stunning crystal ring. I was captivated by the beauty, yet there was an inexplicable pull that drew me to it, like a moth to a flame. I was so intrigued that started doing online research about crystals, immersing myself in their world. It was then in the year 2020, I bought my first crystal: an Amethyst. I understood their power the moment I held the Amethyst pyramid in my hand, it was something inexplainable and I was connected to it. And so, my personal journey with crystals began.
Since then, my collection has grown to include variety of crystals: Amethyst, Rose Quartz, Clear Quartz, Carnelian, Moonstone, and Black Tourmaline. Each in various forms such as pyramids, crystal spheres, tumbles, pendants, rings, bracelets, wands, and geodes. Now, I proudly identify as a Crystal Girlie or Hippie, as some people may call me. You’ll find them everywhere in my home, in every nook and corner.
However, it wasn’t until I began intertwining crystals with tarot and numerology that I understood the patterns and began offering crystal remedies to my clients.
Whenever a client comes to me for a reading and I need to them a crystal as a remedy I refer to this table and ask my tarot deck to give me a card to understand the client in a better way and to recommend them a crystal that will be suitable to them.

Crystals have been used for their esoteric, therapeutic, and religious purposes by ancient cultures such as Greeks and Egyptians. They possess the capacity to address several issues; you just simply need to select the appropriate crystal for their needs. Properly energizing and programming the crystal is crucial before use. It’s advisable to purchase crystals from ethical sources to minimize any associated negativity.
Once you’ve bought crystal, it’s important to cleanse and charge them……….
Cleansing and charging crystals
Keep in mind that crystals are sensitive to energies and surroundings. Protect them from any physical damage and any energetic imbalances, as they are easily attuned to vibrations, emotions, and thoughts.
Cleansing your crystals involves removing any stuck negative energy and programming that you need to release, and then recharging them to ensure they are in ideal condition to enhance your life.
There are few methods you can charge & cleanse your crystals with:
- Full Moon: Bathing your crystals in the light of the Full Moon (Purnima) is one of the most effective methods to charge crystals, as the energy of the moon is at its peak during this time. All the ancient religions considered the Full Moon to be magical and even used it to charge herbs and medicines in Ayurveda. This is my personal favorite!
- Sea Water: If you have access to sea water, soak the crystals in seawater for 3-4 minutes, rinse them, and then let them dry in sunlight. This method is suitable for water-resistant crystals like Clear Quartz and Amethyst.
- Purification with Incense: Incense, sage, bay leaves, or dhoop have been used as energy cleanser in many cultures throughout history. Simply burn any of these and let the smoke cleanse the crystals.
- Burying in the earth: Many ancient cultures used to bury crystals in the earth, from where they were originally sourced, called “the Womb”, to remove the impurities and negativity energies held in the crystals. This process symbolizes a rebirth of the crystals. This method connects with the earth element.
- Visualization: This technique involves holding the crystals in your hand and visualizing all impurities and negative energies leaving the crystal. Make sure that you have a calm and relaxed mind before doing this. This method connects with the Air element, hence making it a powerful technique.
- Mantra: Chanting or playing a mantra is known for removing negativity and increasing positivity, it will also help in cleansing the crystals. Choose a mantra that resonates with you, such as Hanuman Chalisa (if you are religious).
Since I believe in signs and omens, it’s funny how purely by chance, I happened to take carnelian stones and place them on my table before I began writing this down. Carnelians are known to boost creativity, give motivation and to provide grounding and stability. They are indeed powerful!
Now we shall learn about how to program crystals, to customize them as per your needs.
Programming the crystals
- Find a quiet, calm, and relaxing environment, such as near a water body, in a garden, or by mountains, or even in your home temple—anything that helps you unwind.
- Hold the crystal in your dominant hand and clear your mind of any thoughts. Remember, your thoughts carry energy.
- Take deep breaths, inhale and exhale slowly for a few minutes to calm your mind.
- Speak aloud positive affirmations, short sentences that specify what you intend to program your crystal for. Repeat them a few times while visualizing the energy being infused into the crystal.
- Express gratitude to the universe, any deities you believe in, and acknowledge that the crystal is now ready to be used.
Make sure to keep the charged crystals in a safe space and remember to recharge them periodically or as needed. Focus on only one intention at a time.
You can purchase crystals in any form you prefer.
- Jewelry – pendant, earrings, rings or bracelets.
- Tumbles
- Wands
- Geodes
- Crystal trees
Out of these, Tumbles, Geodes and Trees can be placed in your temple or in a designated safe spot in your home or somewhere your tarot reader has suggested and even as per Vaastu.
In conclusion, the connection between tarot and crystals offers us a pathway to deeper self-awareness, healing, and spiritual growth. By incorporating these ancient practices into our contemporary lives, we provide ourselves access to a world of limitless opportunities and insightful understanding.
Remember, that the universe communicates with us by signs and whispers; our job is to listen intently and be receptive to them.
